Product Overview:
Protex® Disinfectant is a broad spectrum disinfectant recommended for use on hard nonporous surfaces for poultry, swine, farm, and veterinary practice disinfection. It is proven effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses that cause disease and economic losses. It disinfects in 5% organic soil loads and 400 ppm hard water.

Active Ingredients:
Combination of four quaternary ammonium compounds

Virucidal Performance:
Protex® was evaluated in the presence of 400 ppm hard water and 5% serum and found to be effective against the following viruses on hard, non-porous (inanimate) (environmental)

Avian Influenza A (H3N2) virus (Avian Reassortant), Avian Influenza A (H5N1) virus, Cytomegalovirus, SARS-associated Coronavirus, Hantavirus, Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus, Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1, Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2, Human Coronavirus, Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 (HIV 1), Influenza A virus (H3N2), Influenza A ( H1N1) (Strain A/PR/8/34),Respiratory syncytial virus (VR-26).

Animal Premise Virucidal Performance:
Avian Infectious Bronchitis virus Beaudette IB42, Avian Influenza A (H5N1) virus, Avian Influenza A (H3N2) virus (Avian Reassortant ) , Canine coronavirus, Canine Parvovirus (Type 2B )(CPV) ( 8 oz. per gallon), Canine Distemper virus, Feline Picornavirus, Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus, Mice (Parvovious) ( 8 oz. per gallon), Porcine Parvovirus ( 8 oz. per gallon), Pseudorabies virus, Rabies ( 8 oz. per gallon), Swine Influenza A ( H1N1) virus (Strain A/Swine/Iowa/ 15/30), Transmissible Gastroenteritis virus, Vaccinia virus.

Non-Food Contact Sanitizing Performance: MicroVacc D125C is effective one-step sanitizer against the following on hard non-porous (inanimate) (environmental) surfaces: Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphyloccoccus aureus.

*This product is not to be used as a terminal sterilant or high-level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that is, 1) introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body; or that, 2) contacts intact mucous membranes, but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body. This product may be used to preclean or decontaminate critical or semi critical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.

Fungicidal Performance:
Use this product to control the growth of mold and mildew and their odors on hard non-porous surfaces. For heavily soiled areas a preliminary cleaning is required. Thoroughly wet all treated surfaces completely. Let air dry. Repeat application weekly or when growth or odor reappears. Organisms: Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagrophytes (athlete’s foot fungus) (a cause of Ringworm) (a cause of Ringworm of the foot)

  • Terminal disinfection (4 ml /L)
  • Disinfecting hatcheries (4 ml /L)
  • Disinfecting vehicles (4 ml /L)
  • Foot bath (8 ml /L)
  • Sanitizing hatchery rooms using a fogger (1 part to 5 parts of water – 166 ml /L)
  • Fogging incubators and hatchers (45 ml /L)
  • Fogging poultry houses and livestock buildings (1 part to 2 parts of water – 333 ml /L)
