Perogen®- 25

PEROGEN®-25 Concentrate Disinfectant is a one-step disinfectant cleaner and deodorizer concentrate formulated with Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) for farm animal care. When used as directed, it is highly effective against a wide variety of pathogenic microorganisms including bacteria, antibiotic resistant bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold and mildew including:

  • Avian Influenza
  • Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus
  • Equine Influenza A
  • Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus
  • Porcine Respiratory & Reproductive Syndrome Virus
  • E. coli
  • Salmonella
  • Trichophyton (Ringworm)

Application and Dosage
PEROGEN®-25 Hydrogen Peroxide with silver nitrate is recommended for use on pre-cleaned surfaces such as equipments, pipelines, tanks, vats, filters, evaporators, pasteurizers and aseptic equipments in dairies, breweries, wineries, beverage and food processing / packaging plants and egg processing and packaging equipment surfaces.

Dosage and use
The product should be dissolved in water as follows:
Environmental disinfection, utensils and materials: (pulverization, nebulization, thermo fumigation): 1 liter of PEROGEN®-25 in 250 liters of water.
Maintenance disinfection (bacteria and fungus): 0.5 lt. of PEROGEN®-25 in 100 liters of water. Shock disinfection (virus): 1 to 3 lts. Of PEROGEN®-25 in 100 liters of water.
Pediluvium, wheel bath disinfection: 250 ml. of PEROGEN®-25 for 10 liters of water.

Acidification and decontamination of the drinking water system
Use PEROGEN®-25 at a dilution of 300 - 400 ml per 1,000 l of water, for 2 to 3 days per week on alternate days. In delicate periods 3 to 4 consecutive days.

Way of usage:
1- During the sanitary rest period. Clean the pipes and water deposits with a 2% PEROGEN®-25 solution. Contact time: 4 - 6 hours.

2- For acidification and disinfection of the animal’s drinking water system. Use PEROGEN®-25 at the rate of 300 - 400 ml every 1000 litres of water, during 2 or 3 days per week, in alternate days. In critical periods, 3 to 4 consecutive days.

Contraindications:
Do not use in copper pipes. PEROGEN®-25 Hydrogen Peroxide with silver nitrate is also used for bacterial eradication of process water, fruits and vegetables, air conditioning filters, pans etc.

Handling Measures and Precautions:
Proper human safety products such as splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying chemicals. Splashes on skin should be washed off with water immediately. In case of splashing into the eyes, flush it with fresh water and obtain medical attention. Should not be injected. Indications:
Removes the accumulation of organic and inorganic deposits. Its frequent use prevents the formation of deposits of calcium and calcareous iron. In water installations acidifies and guarantees the conditions of drinking water.
Reduces the problems of wet stools. It leaves no residue in the meat, so it can be used until the last day before slaughter.

Precautions:

  • Do not mix with other products.
  • Use protective equipment during its preparation and application.
  • Once the product is used, destroy the container; do not use it to contain another substance.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
  • Handle the product respecting the safety and industrial hygiene guarantees.
  • Remove immediately from skin, eyes and clothing. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking, smoking and leaving work.

Withdrawal period:
Do not use PEROGEN®-25, 24hrs before vaccinations or medical treatments in drinking water.

Storage:

  • Store separate from other chemicals.
  • Store in tightly closed container.
  • Protect from physical damage.
  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place protected from sunlight.
  • Protect it from freezing. Store at a temperature not higher than 50ºC.
  • Keep container closed when you are not using.
  • Store in original container below 25°C. In a dry well ventilated area away from sources of heat or ignition. Protect from direct sunlight.
