Hatching Egg

Agriculture and horticulture industry
Hygiene is an important aspect of hatchery design and management. Good hygiene is required for maximum hatching rates and chick quality. The protection from contamination of hatching eggs and day-old chicks or poults, particularly in the light of specific disease controls (e.g. those concerning Salmonella), is becoming increasingly relevant in the operation of hatcheries. Protection of the workforce from contamination is also becoming a more prominent concern.
Disinfectant - Bactericide & Funguicide
Disinfection of Hatching Eggs
KLEEN EGG® allows to count on an effective product to control egg shell contamination, and also provides an easy and safe way to visualize the correct application of the product.
- Disinfectant of general use for hatching eggs.
- Easy to prepare.
- Visual control of its correct application. The whole surface of the egg must become blue-violet-colored.
- Visual control of its correct application. The whole surface of the egg must become blue-violet-colored.
- Widely used and tested effectiveness.
- Formalin guarantees that if used correctly and with a two-minute (minimum) exposition, bacteria count (E. COLI, S. TYPHIMURIUM) or fungi count (ASPERGILLUS FUMIGATUS) is almost zero.
Dissolve 20 ml of KLEEN EGG® in warm water (it is not convenient to use water at temperatures below 15º-16º C) until completing 1-liter volume. Then with sprayer, sprinkle maple and eggs until the blue-violet color indicates the egg surface has been completely treated.
It is convenient to pick up eggs a minimum of 4-5 times a day and fumigate them immediately after recollection.
For the special case of floor-laying eggs, it is convenient to separately collect them and fumigate them in order to prevent them from acting as a contamination source for other eggs, but for no reason must they be hatched.
Once fumigated, hatched eggs must be kept in an adequate room with controlled temperature and humidity.
- 20 ML of KLEEN EGG® to complete 1 L of water to fumigate hatching eggs.
- 100 ML of KLEEN EGG® to complete 5 L of water to fumigate hatching eggs.
- 1 L of KLEEN EGG® to complete 50 L of water to fumigate hatching eggs.
- 5 L of KLEEN EGG® to complete 250 L of water to fumigate hatching eggs.
Bluish color will indicate the surface of the eggs reached by the product

Is specially designed for industrial use, and is a unique chlorinated powder blend especially formulated for the cleaning of eggs in agricultural buildings such as hatcheries
Egg hygiene begins on the layer farm and needs to be strictly controlled to prevent microbial contamination during handling. Eggs can become contaminated on contact with nest boxes, during egg storage and transportation. Eggshell hygiene is critical in improving hatchability. Egg sanitisation can improve hatchability by ~3%.
Application:
OVAQ® is specially designed for industrial use, and is a unique chlorinated powder blend especially formulated for the cleaning of eggs in agricultural buildings such as hatcheries
Directions for use:
Manual Egg Sanitisation: Prepare a dipping solution by dissolving 5-10g OVAQ® powder per litre of water maintained at a temperature of 100°F (35°C). Place eggs in plastic or wire baskets and immerse for 10-15 minutes.
Machine Egg Sanitisation: When using an oscillating machine, immerse eggs for a maximum of 10 minutes. Prepare fresh solution after each cycle or when it becomes visibly soiled. Do not rinse after sanitising / washing eggs. Allow eggs to air dry to form a protective coating before setting or packing.
- OVAQ® Contains organic chlorine
- OVAQ® Moderate alkalinity
- OVAQ® High performance product
the Food industry standard at dilution of 1 in 250 (achieves 5-log kill within 5 min. contact time at 20°C, in the presence of high organic contamination and hard water conditions).

Superior dual action formulation Effective against a broad spectrum of disease causing organisms Ideal for use in hatcheries, food processing and on the farm.
Applications
TROGEX-S® dual action formulation is ideal for use in hatcheries, food processing and on the farm providing a broad spectrum of activity against viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores.
TROGEX-S® provides a flexible solution for surface, equipment, vehicle, and egg dipping or spray disinfection at low temperatures and in the presence of organic challenge.
General Properties
- Dual action formulation with twin chain quaternary ammonium and tertiary alkylamine compounds
- Broad spectrum of activity
- Specifically developed for use in the hatchery and food processing environments
- Can be applied as a foam, spray or egg dip
- Can be used through pressure washers and spraying equipment
- Non staining and none tainting
Composition
A synergistic and unique blend of tertiary alkylamine and a twin chain quaternary ammonium compound with added foam booster to provide excellent foaming characteristics.
Mode of Action
TROGEX-S® works by disrupting the cytoplasmic membrane, resulting in loss of vital intracellular constituents and precipitation of cell contents, leading to cell death.
Instructionsfor Use
Surface Disinfection - The level of disease causing organisms present after basic cleaning can remain high enough to offer a serious disease challenge. Using a disinfectant independently proven effective against viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores, such as TROGEX-S® is essential.
Spraying
Manually prepare a solution between 0.5 - 1% (1:200 - 1:100 dilution) of TROGEX-S® or calibrate your dosing equipment to achieve the required dilution. Using either a knapsack sprayer or pressure washer on a low pressure setting, spray the disinfectant solution on to pre cleaned surfaces at an application rate of 300ml/m2.
Foaming
Manually prepare a 2% (1:50 dilution) solution of TROGEX-S® or calibrate your dosing equipment to achieve the required dilution. Using a pressure washer with a foaming lance apply TROGEX-S® disinfectant solution to pre-cleaned surfaces at an application rate of 250ml/m2.
Egg Disinfection
Settersand Egg StoresContaining Eggs Manually prepare a 1% (1:100 dilution) solution of TROGEX-S® or calibrate your dosing equipment to achieve the required dilution. Using either a mechanical mist/cold fog generator, knapsack sprayer or pressure washer on a fine mist setting, apply TROGEX-S® disinfectant solution for a period of 5-10 seconds per 3m3 to wet the surface of the egg or equipment.
Egg Disinfectant Dip
Manually prepare a 1% (1:100 dilutions) solution of TROGEX-S® using warm water (38-41ºC) in a suitable container and dip hatching eggs for 2-3 minutes prior to placement in the hatching baskets.
Vehicle Disinfection
Manually prepare a 1% (1:100 dilutions) solution of TROGEX-S® or calibrate your dosing equipment to achieve the required dilution. Using either a pressure washer or knapsack sprayer on a fine mist setting, apply the disinfectant solution to all surfaces of the vehicle including; wheel arches, mudguards and any exposed chassis.
Precautions
- Use disinfectants safely. Always read and follow the product label instructions and information, including the precautionary statements before use.
- Do not breathe spray mist (wear a mist respirator at all times during the application process).
- Wear suitable personal protective clothing including; waterproof coveralls (Tychem®), gloves and boots, and face protection (in accordance with BS EN 166).
- Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Do not allow to freeze
