VI-MAX

Non-Rinse Food Industry Sanitisation System

Listeria, Salmonella, E. coli and many other bacteria are a major concern in the food processing and beverage industry. VI-MAX ® effectively and rapidly kills those microorganisms, making it the reliable disinfectant for this application

Vi-Max® is a hydrogen peroxide-based cleaner designed to remove proteins and whiten protein stains from all types of food preparation surfaces. Formulated specifically for food handling, food processing, and food service operations, Peroxy Protein Remover can be used as a general purpose cleaner to remove animal fat, grease, blood, vegetable oils, food residues and other tough soils.

  • Non-rinse sanitisation of food processing equipment and pipelines
  • Food Safe; leaves no taint or chemical residues
  • Full spectral efficacy against food spoilage organisms; G+ and G- bacteria, fungi and spores
  • Oxidative removal of biofilm and slime
  • CFIA approved for organic agriculture & food processing
  • Leaves no taint or chemical residues; decomposes to water, oxygen, acetic acid
  • Safe for sanitisation of drinking water and process water
  • Non-corrosive to stainless steel at normal use dilutions
  • Non-foaming; suitable for sanitisation by circulation
  • Effective over wide pH range (acid to pH 8.5)
  • Effective at low temperatures: suitable for sanitisation of refrigeration equipment

Applications

  • Food & Beverage: Non-rinse sanitisation of equipment, refrigeration units, storage tanks, food containers and pipelines, saving time and water.
  • Suitable for circulation sanitisation (‘Clean-in-Place’) in breweries, production of food, dairy products and soft drinks.
  • Livestock, Poultry & Dairy farming: sanitisation of livestock housing, transportation, & equipment
  • Water treatment: sanitisation of food industry process water, water for sanitisation and packaging of fruit and vegetables and drinking water for poultry & livestock
  • Carcass dipping: poultry, fish and meat cuts

No Risk Resistance
In the food industry, disinfectants are widely used. Several studies have shown that some bacteria are able to develop resistance to some quaternary ammonium compounds, a phenomenon called acquired resistance. This leads to selection of resistant bacterial strains, obviously a major concern for hygiene and safety. Such a risk does not exist with VI-MAX ®. It reacts via an irreversible oxidizing mechanism, leaving no chance to the microorganisms for adaptation or resistance. VI-MAX ® can therefore be used all year long in the food processing plants.

Effecacy
VI-MAX ® is effective against many bacteria related to food industry. A few of them are indicated below, but the complete activity spectrum of VI-MAX ® is much wider.

Bacteria

  • Campylobacter jejuni
  • Enterococcus hirae
  • Escherichia coli
  • Listeria monocytogenes
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Salmonella sp.
  • Stapylococcus aureus
  • Streptococcus sp.
