As a slow-release disinfectant for nest box linings and cow cubicle bedding
As an incubator and egg disinfectant in hatcheries
Directions for use
When heated, PanSol® releases formaldehyde gas. Formaldehyde gas is a recognized broad spectrum biocide with activity against viruses, bacteria, and fungi. Activity is enhanced in warm and humid conditions and warming the building to be fumigated together with water vapor missing or dampening is recommended. Activity has been proven against viruses including Avian Leucosis, Newcastle Disease, Infectious Bronchitis, Infectious Laryngotracheitis, Fowl Pox and Avian Encephalomyelitis. Bacteria including Escherichia coil, Salmonella SPP, Bacillus SPP, Micrococci, and Enterococci. Fungi including Aspergillus Fumigatus.
Fumigation of Livestock Housing after Terminal Disinfection
Use PanSol® at the rate of 350g per 100m³. Place the required amount of PanSol® in a suitable heating pan and leave the building ensuring that all exits are closed and sealed to prevent leakage of gas. Leave the heating pan on for 30 minutes for each 500g of prills, plus a further 2-3 hours to allow adequate contact time. Ventilate the building thoroughly until the characteristic odor has dispersed (up to 24 hours may be required). If a more rapid ventilation of the building is required, the use of neutralizers will help. Do not enter the building during fumigation or until fumes have cleared.
Nest Box Hygiene
For nest box hygiene - place 25-30g of PanSol® in each nest box. Heat from the sitting hen will release gas. Renew weekly or as required. NB in conditions of high temperature, use at half the rate to ensure rapid release of gas does not disturb the hens. Cow Cubicle bedding: For cow cubicle bedding, mix 50g of PanSol® into the bedding of each cubicle every 10-14 days.
Fumigation in the Hatchery
Use PanSol® at the rate of 10g per cubic meter or hatchery use. Every 500 gms should be heated for a period of 30 minutes.
Fumigate for 20 minutes in egg reception rooms, setting machines & hatching machines.
Fumigate for 20 minutes in empty setting and hatching machines (after cleaning and disinfection have been carried out).
Storage
Store in the original container below 25°C. In a dry well-ventilated area away from sources of heat or ignition. Protect from direct sunlight.
